Software Quality Engineer

Job Description:

A Software Quality Engineer will be responsible for ensuring the quality of software products by identifying defects, conducting tests, and validating that the software functions as expected. Your role will be critical in maintaining high software quality standards and providing reliable solutions that meet user and business requirements.
Responsibilities:

• Designing, developing, and executing test plans, test cases, and automated scripts to ensure software quality.
• Develop and execute manual and automated tests for new and existing software products.
• Participate in daily scrum calls, requirement grooming calls, defect triage calls etc.
• Designing, developing, and executing test plans, test cases, and automated scripts to ensure software quality.
• Design and develop automation test scripts for functional and regression testing using Java, Selenium WebDriver with Cucumber Framework.
• Conducting thorough reviews of product specifications and software design to identify potential areas of concern before testing.
• Automate API Web Services using POSTMAN & REST ASSURED.
• Test the compatibility of the mobile applications on iOS & Android devices.

Required Skills:

•  Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• An understanding of software testing methodologies.
• Proficiency in programming languages like Java, Python, or JavaScript to build and run automated test scripts.
• Understanding of database management systems and SQL for data verification.
• Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.

Education & Experience:

• A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
• 2-5 years of proven experience as a quality assurance engineer, software tester, or similar role with expertise in manual and automated testing.
• Relevant certification in software testing or quality assurance.
