Cloud DevOps Engineer

Job Description:

The Cloud DevOps Engineer will work on both strategic projects and day-to-day operations, collaborating with cross-functional teams to improve and expand our cloud capabilities. This position requires strong technical expertise in cloud platforms, scripting, CI/CD pipelines, and a solid understanding of DevOps principles and best practices.

Roles & Responsibilities:

• Develop OpenSearch dashboard to display user permissions, enabling easier management
  and oversight.
• Deploy updates and fixes, and provide Level 2 technical support.
• Build tools to reduce occurrence of errors and improve customer experience.
• Enhance the Lambda function to convert output into byte streams, sending results to
  OpenSearch for real-time data analytics and reporting
• Proactively perform other duties as necessary for completion of projects and achievement of departmental goals.
• Create detailed version control documentation to track and manage updates to newly
  developed features, ensuring proper change management.
• Automate the addition of domain users via Python scripts.

Requirements:

• Proficient in scripting and automation (Python, Ruby, Groovy)
• Experience in managing and migrating cloud infrastructure, especially on AWS
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Experience in configuring and managing cloud monitoring and logging tools.
• Excellent communication and leadership skills with the ability to mentor and lead a team.

Education & Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
• 3+ years in a DevOps, Cloud Engineering, or Infrastructure Engineering role with hands-on experience in cloud platforms (AWS, Azure)
